The velvet is complemented by smooth cotton fabric and soft, fluffy plush used in the ears, which gives the whole piece a gentle softness and tactile appeal. Beige piping subtly connects the neutral tones with the bold navy blue, creating a refined colour contrast.

The deer’s expression rests on meticulously crafted details. The nose is hand-modelled and then painted. The glass taxidermy eyes are left in their original, purchased form. The area around them is hand-painted, blending sensitively into the modelling of the head and deepening the gaze. Delicate, carefully glued lashes further emphasise the character of the eyes.
